Community Places’ team spent two days last week holding drop-in community engagement events in Glencairn, Belfast. The team spoke with members of the community about their vision for Glencairn over the next ten years and used the Place Standard Tool to create in-depth discussion on their place. The Place Standard Tool was developed by the Scottish Government and provides a 14-aspect framework to assess a space, it encourages discussion around what works well and what could be improved. The team will use the community’s priorities to develop the Glencairn Place Shaping Plan 2035.
